In July 2017, Rehahn visited a H’mong group in Pa Co village – Hoa Binh province and met Sung Y Xia, a 39 year old woman who perpetuates the art of indigo dyeing and batik drawing. She has been practicing since she is 15 and has now become an expert although she is younger than most batik masters.
